Session 1 Speakers

  • Dr. Oluwatobi Ogbechie-Godec, MD, MBA, FAAD

    Dr. Ogbechie-Godec is a practicing board-certified dermatologist and physician leader in Dermatology. Prior to her medical training, she gained a foundation in corporate strategy and management at Bain & Company. She obtained degrees in medicine and business administration at Harvard University. Dr. Ogbechie-Godec applies her experience and skills to improve clinical operations to maximize the value of healthcare enterprises. Furthermore, she actively participates nationally on payment and regulatory policies impacting dermatologists through organizational dermatology. She is a former chair of the Healthcare Finance Committee at the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). Currently, she is Chief Medical Officer at APDerm, the largest regional dermatology and plastic surgery group in the Northeast, and she continues to serve on various committees and task forces in the AAD.

  • Ronna Wallace

    Ronna Wallace is a healthcare lobbyist, including Chief Lobbyist for the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology.

  • Jason Harris

    Jason Harris oversees the National Psoriasis Foundation's mission-related efforts in government relations and advocacy. He is responsible for directing the overall supervision, planning, organization, and coordination of all aspects of the advocacy program, including oversight of the advocacy network. Harris also oversees and manages the Advocacy department and staff. He is based in the Alexandria, VA office.

    Harris has a decade of experience working in advocacy and government relations. Most recently, he served as the Director of Public Policy at the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA). At the LFA, Harris led regulatory and legislative policy efforts, including on issues related to access and affordability, patient-focused drug development, and value assessment. Prior to the LFA, Harris worked for the National Health Council (NHC) and the ALS Association. He graduated with a BA in History from the University of Maryland.

Session 2 Speakers

  • Kaitlyn Gallant, PharmD, RPh 

    Kaitlyn Gallant is a Clinical Pharmacist Coordinator at Mass General Brigham Specialty Pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University and has been with MGB Specialty Pharmacy since 2020. In her role, Kaitlyn primarily supports the Brigham and Women’s Dermatology clinic with specialty medication access, including prior authorization navigation, patient counseling, and clinical support. She is also actively involved in pharmacy leadership initiatives and serves on the Quality Management Committee, where she contributes to ongoing efforts to optimize pharmacy workflows and patient care.

  • Leda Anderson

    Leda Anderson is the Director of Advocacy & Government Relations for the Massachusetts Medical Society and also serves as the staff Liaison for the MMS Committee on Legislation.  In this role, Leda leads the Medical Society’s state and federal advocacy efforts, working primarily at the state level on various health and public health issues with the goal of improving the medical practice environment, improving affordability and access to care for patients, and promoting health equity.

Session 3 Speakers

  • Joshua Levine – Patient Advocate

    Josh Levine is a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a major in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with minors in Data Science and Legal Studies. Hailing from the Boston suburbs, Josh has cultivated experience across the business, legal, and political landscapes. His background includes several years dedicated to policy advocacy in Washington, D.C., and Massachusetts, focusing on health care and alopecia-related issues. In his free time, Josh enjoys playing squash, traveling, running, and cherishing moments with his family and dog.

  • Senator Joan Lovely – Massachusetts Legislator

    Senator Joan Lovely is serving her sixth term representing the Second Essex District, which includes Beverly, Danvers, Peabody, and Salem. She joined the Massachusetts Senate in 2013 after 15 years on the Salem City Council, where she also served as Council President and Acting Mayor. A Salem resident, Senator Lovely earned degrees from Salem State University and the Massachusetts School of Law. She began her public service through local activism, helping revitalize a neighborhood playground. In the Senate, she serves as Assistant Majority Leader, Chair of the Senate and Joint Committees on Rules, and Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Emergency Preparedness and Management. She also serves on committees focused on climate, agriculture, elder affairs, and small business. Senator Lovely is Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators and active in numerous caucuses and commissions addressing health, the environment, and equity. She and her husband Stephen have three adult children and two grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, traveling, and caring for her Labrador Retrievers, ducks, and chicken.

  • Dr. Michelle Min – California Advocacy

    Dr. Michelle S. Min is the Director of Rheumatologic Dermatology and an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, Irvine. She received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and went on to complete her dermatology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. She then pursued further subspecialty training through the Rheumatology-Dermatology Fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School.

    Dr. Min’s clinical and research interests focus on autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases, and she has published extensively in leading dermatology journals. In addition to her clinical and academic roles, she is a dedicated educator, mentoring medical students and residents alike. A tireless advocate for patients and the field of dermatology, Dr. Min co-leads the annual California Dermatology Trainee Advocacy Day, where she helps train and inspire future dermatologists to engage in legislative advocacy and health policy.
