MD Candidate, Meharry Medical College, Class of 2028
Faith Jean is a rising third year medical student at Meharry Medical College. She is originally from Acworth, Georgia. She attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2024. While at Georgia Tech, she worked as a policy advocate for Rise, fighting for the expansion of the HOPE/Zell Miller scholarship. She is excited to serve as Chair for Tennessee’s first ever Dermatology Trainee Advocacy Day, as she is passionate about increasing accessibility to dermatological appointments and care for patients of all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Paz Dozie-Nnamah is a rising third year medical student at Meharry Medical College from Murfreesboro, TN. She attended George Washington University as a NCAA Division 1 volleyball player, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychological and Brain Sciences in 2022, and later worked as a dermatology-pathology gross technician. She is excited to serve as vice co-chair for Tennessee’s first ever Dermatology Trainee Advocacy Day, as through this she can continue to serve her mission about spreading accurate information and guidance towards attainable dermatological care to all future patients.
MD Candidate, Meharry Medical College, Class of 2027
Katie Frederickson is a 4th year medical student at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to pursuing her MD, she received her Bachelor of Science as a Registered Nurse at Lewis University in Chicago, IL and worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Eight years later, she earned her Master of Science degree as a Nurse Practitioner from Northern Illinois University and worked at a private practice in Southern California providing medical, surgical and aesthetic dermatology services. Katie’s long-term goal is to provide dermatologic care to the underserved and marginalized communities and serve as a supportive mentor to the upcoming generation of medical students. Katie is excited to serve as the communications and social media lead for the Tennessee Dermatology Advocacy Team. Katie is married with 2 children and enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, playing tennis and pilates.

Dijiorré Perez is a rising third-year medical student at Meharry Medical College. She is originally from Providence, Rhode Island, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Rhode Island in 2020. After graduation, she worked as a dermatology medical assistant in both Rhode Island and South Florida. She also participated in frontline medical relief efforts during the COVID border crisis in Texas and later completed a post-baccalaureate certificate program at Temple University. Being bilingual has further fueled her commitment to health equity by allowing her to better advocate for and educate patients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Dijiorré is honored and excited to serve as the Vice Co-Chair for Tennessee’s first Dermatology Trainee Advocacy Day. She is passionate about using her voice to advocate for underrepresented and underserved patients by promoting education within the dermatology community and engaging with local communities to improve diagnostic accuracy and culturally sensitive care.

Toluwa David is a rising third year medical student at Meharry Medical College. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, she attended Vanderbilt University where she earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Biological Sciences in 2023. She is honored to serve as the Research Lead for Tennessee’s first Dermatology Trainee Advocacy Day. She believes that she has the duty to serve her community and to advocate for her patients within the dermatological field, and wants her future patients to be more informed on their body’s needs.
Meet Our Speaker
Dr. Terrica Arnold is the Director of Operations, Innovation, and Community Initiatives at Meharry Medical College’s Center for Health Policy, where she helps lead the C.A.P.E. (Connecting Adults to Professions & Education) program. She oversees community engagement efforts and youth-focused initiatives aimed at reducing violence and addressing health disparities in the Nashville community. Dr. Arnold holds degrees from Fisk University and Tennessee State University and has over a decade of experience in higher education, with a focus on civic engagement and minority health.
